The American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) is committed to helping multicultural aspiring advertising professionals break into the industry. Through the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), founded in 1973, racially and ethnically diverse college students have the opportunity to spend 10 weeks during the summer working at 4A’s member agencies. The 4A Foundation‘s Operation Jump Start scholarship program provides financial assistance to students of color studying art direction or copy writing at one of eight 4A’s-participating portfolio schools.
